Renato Soru

Entrepreneur and politician, Renato Soru graduated in Economic and Social Sciences at the Bocconi University of Milan. In 1997 he founded Tiscali, the first Internet provider conceived on the philosophy of low-cost communication, two years later listed on the Milan stock exchange market.

The experience as an entrepreneur in the field of innovation has led him to look beyond the borders of the island, to work across Europe and to deal with other realities.
He began his political activity in 2003, creating the Progetto Sardegna political movement. The following year he was elected to lead the Region supported by the center-left deployment.
